PowerCli to Monitor Dead / Lost Storage Paths on Vmware Vsphere Environment !

PowerCLIHello Friends,

I guess the most problematic scenario when you open a ticket to Vmware Technical Support is “All Path Down” (APD) situations.
Mostly the answer from Vmware support team is about to remove the dead paths to deny apd situations.
So what are you doing ? Are you still checking all hba connection state one-by-one ?

No matter ,

Here is the script that listing all Dead Paths to you if there is one or more. But I need to inform you , at the last of the algorith you can see a little if clause about if there is no any dead paths script returns 0.

How to Install Citrix XenServer 6.2

50_certLogoHello Friends ,

Today I’ll try to write about how to install Citrix XenServer Software on a Physical Server,

XenServer is a complete solution of Citrix Server Virtualization platform that can support al server platforms.

At first let me write sth. about the difference between Xen environment to other vendor’s solutions ;

  • Xenserver is paravirtualizaed , another solutions like ESXi and Hyper-V has Cpu Scheduling Architectures. So they have cpu adressing problems on the usage times.
  • Xenserver environment doesn’t care anything about any management servers like Vcenter and if you loose vcenter that doesn’t make sense for Xen environment. All the administration goes on the pool servers and pool masters.

Also we need to see the prequisites and the installation steps one-by-one from the video below ; As you’ll watch it’s too simple .

As we can see on the video , the installation of XenServer hypervisor takes up to five minutes and very very simple to install. In XenServer environment you have lots of Continue reading
